FHA Summer HP Development
The FHA Summer HP Development Program is a collaboration between Legacy Academy and Field Hockey Alberta to equip our young athletes with the technical skills, habits, and understanding necessary to be successful competing at a High Performance level.
For athletes looking to develop high quality technical skills and a thorough understanding of the game, this is the program for you. This program is designed to refine the technical skills that athletes may have learned playing school or club hockey, as well as teach basic strategies, ways of thinking, and build good habits for aspiring high performance athletes.

This program will have a strong focus on basic technical skills, attacking and defending 1v1, 2v1, and 3v2 situations, as well as small sided games. We want athletes to have as many reps as possible in pressure situations so they can learn to make decisions and execute skills when under pressure.
At Legacy, we focus on building a positive team culture and creating the right environment for our athletes to achieve growth. As always, we challenge our athletes to 'Be Great' both on and off the pitch.
Our program is designed and run by coaches who have played and coached at the national and university level, and have had experience coaching athletes from grassroots through to the junior national team. We understand what it takes to have long term success in the game and we know how to equip our young athletes with a solid foundation of technical skills for hockey, and an understanding of systems and tactics for how the game is played. Our purpose is for you to be successful in your pursuit of high school, provincial, university and junior national team hockey.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions about our programming, we're always happy to talk about hockey!
